The Bobby Jones Film Foundation raised over $1 million for charitable partners at 70 pre-screening events in major markets across the country. The philanthropic events benefited numerous groups including: The First Tee, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Athletes in Action, East Lake Community Foundation and American Syringomyelia Alliance Project (disease that afflicted Bobby Jones.) The East Lake Golf Club, the home course of Bobby Jones, will serve as a fitting place during THE TOUR Championship Presented by Coca-Cola to announce the DVD release of Bobby Jones—Stroke of Genius. The film company will have a display at the PGA TOUR Pavilion Powered by Southern Company featuring memorabilia from the movie, clips from the movie and behind-the-scenes special features, which will be part of the special edition DVD. Stars from the film will also be available to greet and sign autographs. “Bobby Jones Film, LLC is proud to continue the legacy of Bobby Jones through the release of this movie and the philanthropic initiatives that will continue to live on through this DVD release,” says Rick Eldridge, Executive Producer.
